What are the techniques for root carving?
1, shellac varnish method. It is diluted with the natural insect film and alcohol ratio of 1:4~6. After a day of thorough ablation, apply it to the root carving work with a brush. Generally, brush it 5 times to 6 times, each time 10~0 minutes. It is then covered with a phenolic alkyd varnish.
2, shellac nitrocellulose paint. First apply the insect film liquid, the method is as described above, and it is boring. Then, after drying, apply nitrocellulose paint for more than 10 times, each time is also 10 to 20 minutes. In the process of this method, it is best to use fine sand to polish, and the light effect is very good.
3, shellac polyurethane paint method. It is also used to make a primer with a shellac liquid, and then brush it with polyurethane paint one or two times to get the proper effect.
4, matt lacquer method, the above three lacquer methods, the root body brightness is good, but it is not very suitable for some art carvings with high requirements. Therefore, the matt lacquer method can be used. The specific method is to apply the required root carving work with the shellac glue several times, and then apply it with nitro matte varnish or polyurethane matt varnish several times until satisfactory. This method enables the root carving work to present a simple, soft, soft and natural phenomenon, and enjoys a good effect.
